Placencia Peninsula

Placencia is a peninsular Caribbean town located at south of Belize in the Caribbean Sea at 3 hours from Belize City, known locally as "Barefoot perfect"

It's the highest tourist site for its beaches on the shore of crystalline sea, typical of Caribbean beaches.
The island has soft white sand beaches, and in some parts of the beach there are mangroves protected by heavy vegetation.
Placencia used to be a fishing village, but nowadays you can do other activities and tours, both aquatic and nature.

Placencia its the perfect place for those who enjoy outdoor adventures. The peninsula shows 16 miles of beaches with a lagoon to the west and the Caribbean to the east. The beaches through the Placencia Peninsula are surrounded by small resorts that can easily host dive and snorkel trips to the reef. They can also arrange day trips to many small, fascinating cayes, such as Laughing Bird Caye, a reef that offers protected snorkeling and swimming, a white sand beach and many cooling palm trees.

In Placencia you can also find many delicious restaurants and several bars on the beach, in these you will find dishes and drinks typical of the place, but also international food. If you walk along the beach you will also find vendor of local crafts, handmade by the locals, which are accessible.
